Behringer X32 - professional mixing console

The Behringer X32 is a fully integrated centerpiece of the digital mixing, audio networking and data processing ecosystem. It combines a workflow-optimized control panel, extensive I/O and audio processing capabilities in a compact desktop form factor. Using motorized faders and rotary encoders, and a daylight-readable TFT screen, the control surface is designed to provide immediate access to critical functions with full, automatic recall of settings. Extensive onboard I/O includes 40 A/D and 24 Cirrus Logic A/D converters, 96 bi-directional channels via SuperMAC AES50, stereo AES/EBU output, 16 channels of BEHRINGER Ultranet personal monitoring, and 32 x 32 channels of USB recording.

Extensive analog connectivity is provided by 32 digitally controlled mic preamps designed by world renowned MIDAS, 6 line auxiliary inputs and outputs, 16 XLR outputs, XLR/TRS stereo monitoring outputs and dual headphone outputs. Each of the 32 microphone inputs can accept balanced or unbalanced mic or line level signals and include switchable phantom power, which has a gain range of 72 dB and a maximum level of +23 dB before clip. A separate external microphone input and internal talkback microphone allow you to communicate with different artists on stage.

Dual AES50 Ethernet connectors using KLARK TEKNIK SuperMAC technology provide 96 x 96 signal transmission for a total of 168 x 168 available sources and destinations. Motorized faders, recallable mic preamps, programmable routing, and the ability to store and recall entire scenes make setting or program changes quick and easy. A USB connector on the top panel allows you to save system data or record the board mix directly to external flash memory or hard drives.

The input section houses 16 100mm motorized faders providing control of channels 1-16, 17-32, Aux inputs/USB playback/FX return. A separate section of 8 motorized faders controls DCA groups 1-8, bus masters 1-8 and 9-16, and matrices 1-6. The main X-Channel section allows you to instantly edit the gain, dynamics, EQ and other functions of the currently selected channel. A customizable assignable section allows you to assign specific control functions directly to a set of dedicated knobs and buttons.

The main 7-inch wide, high-contrast color display provides information for editing the relevant parameters of the active function or effect. The corresponding parameters can be quickly called up to the display for editing using the “view” buttons in each subsection. Each channel also has a small, customizable LCD screen to display the track name, number, color, and source image.

The Virtual FX Rack offers 8 multi-effects processors with true stereo sound (16 mono), and 39 effects models eliminate the need for additional external hardware. 4 high-quality effects such as delay and reverb can work simultaneously with 8 channels of a 31-band graphic equalizer.

The built-in interface card allows you to transfer up to 32 tracks to and from your computer for recording, mixing and mastering.

The X32 seamlessly integrates with other X32 consoles, the Behringer S16 digital stage box and the Behringer P-16 personal monitoring system for complete live, studio and installation audio. Control the mixer remotely using a free iPad app or editing and remote control software connected via Ethernet. Ease of use, intuitive workflow, diverse feature set and integration with other equipment make the Behringer X32 the ideal centerpiece for live sound installations and sound production in studio and film production environments.
