Installation of sound equipment in the Temple
Singing and musical accompaniment are an integral and one of the main components of church services and prayers. It is important to convey every note, sound, and word not only to the souls of the parishioners, but also to their ears. And professional, well-designed and installed musical equipment for the temple allows this to be done with respect for religion, preserving the features and purity of services.

Why is the installation of sound amplification equipment in churches and temples useful and rational?
Praying with your heart is right, but understanding and repeating the text of the appeal to the Saints makes it more powerful, sincere, and conscious. The acoustics of the premises in religious buildings are not always perfect and make it possible to make out all the words of chants and prayers. And the service goes on continuously, leaving no time for parishioners to comprehend and repeat the text of the address.
Yes, the reverberation time in such structures (although not in all) is often at a decent level, but there are other problems and nuances that the installation of audio equipment in the Temple and other musical installations eliminates and successfully solves.
Professional musical equipment provides:
Professional sounding of temples and churches also eliminates all kinds of acoustic defects (pits, upward direction of sound, echo, unclean sound of individual notes, rapid decay, etc.) characteristic of new, reconstructed, restored churches.
Why professional and comprehensive voiceover?
Religious buildings are complex in their architecture, interior, and layout. These are niches, columns, multi-level ceilings, an abundance of decor, the use of many materials that react differently to sound, etc. Microphones, amplifiers, and musical equipment should have a high operating life and functionality, but at the same time be invisible and natural in the temple interior.
Therefore, scoring churches requires professional musical equipment, individual design of a music system and an integrated approach in a number of areas:

Professional musical equipment provides:
- clarity of reproduction and intelligibility of the speech of ministers, the text of chants and prayers, and musical material;
- good audibility without distortion of the church service in all areas of the temple (where necessary), the courtyard, and adjacent areas.
- musical equipment, correctly selected and installed, harmoniously enhances and makes clearer all the shades of chants, speeches and musical accompaniment. Whereas amateur centers with amplifiers (buffers and speakers) or poorly installed musical equipment simply equalizes all sounds with the effect of maximum volume, which is unacceptable in temples and churches.
Professional sounding of temples and churches also eliminates all kinds of acoustic defects (pits, upward direction of sound, echo, unclean sound of individual notes, rapid decay, etc.) characteristic of new, reconstructed, restored churches.

-
selection and installation of acoustics inside the church with a microphone system;
mobile music kits (holiday services);
broadcast and warning systems outside the main church (street, throughout the church, etc.).
This is the only way to achieve decent quality sound recording for religious buildings.

Selection of equipment for scoring the Temple
The sound atmosphere in the Temple has a very high reverberation time, because of this it is necessary to carefully configure the sound equipment using a high-quality sound processor that has an automatic feedback suppressor. The BSS BLU-101 audio processor can handle this solution.
Microphones can be installed permanently, in places where the service is read. Often microphones are installed or hung on a chandelier, at the gates of the Altar, stands for readers, and in the Altar on the seven-branched candlestick. In this arrangement, it is excellent to use Shure brand microphones with a condenser: Shure MX185, Shure MX418D/C, Shure MX202BP/C. For miking a church choir, there are several microphone options to choose from: Electro-Voice Re320 or Shure MX202BP.
All microphones are connected to the BSS BLU-101 central processor, from which the signal is distributed to audio amplifiers. For easy use of audio equipment, the best power amplifiers are those that have remote control, such as the Crown CDi DriveCore 4|300 amplifiers - four-channel 300 W per channel at low mode or for a transformer line connecting speaker systems. Temple workers will be able to turn the entire sound system on or off with the touch of a button without causing damage to the equipment.
The most important stage of sounding the Temple is the correct distribution of speaker systems, choice of power and direction angle. Low-power speakers, such as JBL Control 25AV or JBL Control 29AV, are suitable for sound reinforcement in the Temple. If you need sound broadcasting on the street near the Temple, you definitely need all-weather speaker systems, such as the JBL AWC129 or other loudspeakers.
The single control unit for audio equipment will be the BSS EC-8BV wall-mounted keypad. Its location can be near the choir or in the Altar.
The equipment requires proper installation and professional configuration. The task of sounding the Temple is solved by our company Express Sound. You can see the completed work in the “Projects” section.
Our specialists will perform the necessary analysis of the Temple and offer their professional solution for sounding the Temple, as well as supply all the necessary equipment and carry out installation and setup of the sound system.
